When DIY just isn't happening this year.
The Cape & Confetti app is built for the hands-on parent who wants to plan quickly themselves. But sometimes life doesn't let you. That's when you hire us.
You're traveling for work leading up to the party
You have a newborn and a birthday kid in the same month
You want a themed party your house can't pull off alone
You're stepping in after a co-parenting change and want to get it right
You've simply decided your time is worth more than the $500
The stuff parents actually ask us.
- Who are the planners?
- Local Triangle-area party pros we know and trust personally. Every planner is matched based on your theme, kid's age, and budget. We don't run a marketplace — we handpick one planner for you.
- Is the $500 on top of vendor costs?
- Yes. $500 is our flat planning and coordination fee. You still pay each vendor directly (cake, venue, entertainment, etc.). Most parties in our target budget ($1,000–$5,000 total) land around $1,500–$5,500 all-in.
- How far ahead should I book?
- Ideally 4–8 weeks before the party date. We'll take 2-week rush jobs when calendar allows, but vendor availability is the real constraint.
- What if I don't love the plan?
- We revise until you're happy. If after two revision rounds it's still not right, we refund 50% and part as friends. This almost never happens because we spend real time on the intake call.
- Do you do themes you've never done before?
- All the time. The AI-plan side of Cape & Confetti sees every theme imaginable — your planner taps into that for inspiration. If your kid wants a 'medieval sloth' party, we'll figure it out.
- Can I use my own vendors?
- Absolutely. If you already have a favorite bakery or bounce-house company, we'll fold them in. Tell us during intake.
